As responsible breeders, we prioritize the health and well-being of our West Highland White Terriers. As such, we screen potential puppy buyers through a series of questions to ensure that our puppies go to the right homes. We understand that breeding practices have a significant impact on the health and temperament of puppies, and we take great care to ensure that our breeding practices result in healthy and happy puppies.

To maintain the highest quality of health in our breeding practices, we limit our litters to just three (3) per year. This allows us to give each litter and puppy the individual attention and care that they require, ensuring that they are healthy, well-socialized, and ready for adoption.

Due to the limited number of litters that we have each year, we hardly ever have puppies ready to go. However, we have a waiting list that prospective owners can join to reserve a puppy from one of our upcoming litters. By joining the waiting list, you can ensure that you will have the opportunity to adopt a healthy and well-bred Westie puppy.

The cost of each puppy, regardless of gender, is $2,000. We believe that this reflects the investment that we make in our breeding practices, including comprehensive health screenings, proper care, and socialization. When you place a deposit of 1/4 of the total amount ($500), you secure your spot on the waiting list, which signifies a mutual commitment between us as the breeder and you as the buyer. Once the deposit is made, we will send you a confirmation receipt by text or email.

By placing a deposit, we make a promise to provide you with a perfectly healthy AKC-registered puppy of your desired gender. In turn, you commit to providing a loving and responsible home for the puppy, which includes proper care, socialization, and training. We believe that this mutual commitment is essential to ensuring the health and well-being of the puppy and their successful adoption.

After you have made the deposit, we will email you a signed legal contract that outlines the terms of the sale and the responsibilities of both parties. This contract is designed to protect both parties’ interests and ensure that the adoption process proceeds smoothly and without any misunderstandings or disputes.

Once the litter is born, we will keep you informed about the puppies’ progress and development. When the puppies are old enough, we will let you choose your puppy based on their personality, temperament, and physical characteristics. We believe that this process is essential in ensuring that the puppy is the right fit for your family and lifestyle.

Before taking your puppy home, you will need to pay the remaining balance of the purchase price. This is typically due when the puppy is ready to leave our home, which is usually around 8-12 weeks of age. We will work with you to ensure that this process is convenient and hassle-free.

We understand that bringing a new puppy into your home is an exciting and life-changing event. As such, we are committed to providing ongoing support and guidance to our adoptive families. We encourage you to ask any questions that you may have and to keep us informed about your puppy’s progress and development.

In conclusion, by limiting our litters and prioritizing the health and well-being of our Westie puppies, we ensure that each puppy receives the individual attention and care that they require. Our waiting list provides prospective owners with the opportunity to reserve a healthy and well-bred puppy from one of our upcoming litters. By placing a deposit and signing a legal contract, both parties commit to a mutual promise, ensuring that the adoption process proceeds smoothly and without any misunderstandings.

We believe that the investment that we make in our breeding practices, including comprehensive health screenings and proper care, reflects the cost of each puppy. We are committed to providing ongoing support and guidance to our adoptive families to ensure that each puppy grows up to be a happy and healthy companion.

We encourage prospective owners to research and find a reputable breeder who prioritizes the health and well-being of their dogs and puppies. We believe that by following responsible breeding practices and working with committed adoptive families, we can ensure that each Westie puppy finds a loving and responsible home and has the best possible start to a healthy and happy life.

NOTE: If for any reason, at any time, the buyer is unable to keep or provide adequate care for their puppy, we require that the seller be notified. The puppy/dog is not to be given away, sold, leased, abandoned, or transferred to a pet shop, animal dealer, animal shelter, research laboratory, or similar facility, nor to anyone convicted of neglect or cruelty to any animal. We require that WestieHaven be informed and included in decisions about the puppy/dog if the buyer can no longer care for the puppy for any reason, and returned to the breeder if the breeder agrees.
